Walking is peaceful and exhilarating in the Sierra de Baza natural park. You can scale 7000’ Santa Barbara or enjoy a gentle meander. There are walks to suit all abilities, but there is always time to stand and stare.

Sunday An introduction to the beautiful Sierra de Baza and a visit to the information centre
Monday Walk in the farmland around Finca Lucia, explore old caves and ruins, lunch at the Moorish Cuevas al Jatib
Tuesday Climb Jabalcon, the mountain that dominates the area and enjoy the fantastic view of Lake Negratin, Baza and the Altiplano
Wednesday A free day to visit Baza market or the Alhambra Palace in Granada
Thursday Ramble along the rambla in the Rejano Valley - last year 57 different variety of crop were counted there - and up over the hills in the foothills of the Sierra de Baza
Friday Up to the summit! A full day’s walk and a strenuous climb but well worth it!
